GAMM 2022
From August 15-19 2022, the 92nd Annual Meeting of the International Association of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics (GAMM) took place at the RWTH Aachen University. The Dynamics Group was represented there by Merten Stender, Svenja Ehlers, Charlotte Geier, and Kerstin Vater.
We contributed two talks in the Nonlinear Oscillations Section:
C. Geier, M. Stender, S. Hamdi, N. Hoffmann, T. Chancelier: Data-driven stability maps for friction-induced vibrations (https://doi.org/10.15480/882.4563)
K. Vater, M. Stender, N. Hoffmann: Towards neural network-based numerical friction models (https://doi.org/10.15480/882.4561)
New contacts were established and expanded in the course of the conference. Especially interesting and inspiring were the views and approaches to machine learning in nonlinear dynamics and the related contributions
