Timo started as an external PhD student at the Institute of Technology and Innovation Management in April 2021. Previously, he studied fiber composite technology in a dual program with Airbus at the PFH Stade (Bachelor of Engineering) and industrial engineering and management at the FOM Hamburg (Master of Science). Until recently, Timo worked in international project management for the final assembly line at Airbus Hamburg before he joined Volkswagen AG in Wolfsburg as a doctoral student in February 2021. His research project investigates the potential of frugal innovation in automotive material engineering to foster corporate sustainability.
