Johanna Zeller studied Industrial Engineering with a specialisation in Civil Engineering (M. Sc.) at RWTH Aachen University with a focus on construction operations and sustainability and corporations. As part of her Master's thesis, she worked on the implementation of Circular Economy with a focus on circular business models in the construction industry.
After graduating, Johanna Zeller worked as a project manager and consultant for an international planning company in Aachen in the field of sustainable construction projects.
Since 2021, Johanna works as a research assistant and doctoral student at the TIM institute. Her research combines the topics of Circular Economy, Stakeholder Theory, and Collaborative Innovation. Using the construction industry as an example, she is conducting research on how innovations and collaboration can facilitate the Circular Economy in the sector.
New Strategies and Structures for a Cradle to Cradle Model Region in the Northeast of Lower Saxony
Together with the regions of Lüneburg and Lüchow-Dannenberg and the joint partners Süderelbe AG and Leuphana University, the Institute for Technology and Innovation Management at the TUHH is part of the research project "New Strategies and Structures for a Cradle to Cradle (C2C) Model Region in the Northeast of Lower Saxony". The aim is to develop a regional innovation, transfer and sustainability strategy. In this process, a regional development concept with a focus on regional circular economy will be created and implemented. With the involvement of regional and municipal stakeholders, a master plan for a C2C model region will be developed, which is aimed at the year 2035 and will already be implemented in parts during the project period. The flagship project, a lab for sustainability innovations, is to push approaches for a C2C economy and the emergence of innovative projects in structurally weak areas.
