Temperature is very important parameter because of its effect on chemical reactions on reaction rates, aquatic life, and the solubility of essential gases such as oxygen in water.The temperature of domestic wastewater is higher than that of the water supply, because of the addition of warm water from households. Depending on the geographical location, the mean annual temperature of wastewater varies from about 10 to 21.1 ยบ C. The temperature of a wastewater sample can be measured with the help of ordinary mercury or digital thermometer.
