Bio: Svenja graduated as Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Hamburg University of Technology in 2018 and continued her studies with a Master of Science in Theoretical Mechanical Engineering. After finishing her Master's thesis on deep-learning-based reconstruction of ocean waves in 2022, she joined the Dynamics Group as a research associate.

Research: Svenja's research interests include the reconstruction and prediction of ocean waves, with a particular focus on rogue waves. For this purpose, she aims to combine machine learning methods with physical knowledge and classical numerical simulations.
